What is happening on the moon - Lunar Transient Phenomena
Abstract
It is noted that although optical observations number in the thousands, 'hard data' observations (spectra, photographs, etc.) of Lunar Transient Phenomena (LTP) are relatively few. Data gathered by various astronomers are reviewed. It is concluded that a combination of seeing conditions, mineral luminescence, and gas emission is responsible for reported LTP.
