Diborane . High-resolution infrared rovibration studies of 10B2H6</SBT>
Abstract
Four infrared active bands of 10B 2H 6 were studied with a resolution of ∼0.05 cm -1 — the type- A fundamentals, ν17 (BH bridge stretching) and ν18 (BH terminal deformation), and the type- C fundamental, ν14 (BH terminal wagging), and combination, ν9 + ν15. From assignments in these bands, asymmetric-rotor ground-state parameters were determined from more than 500 combination differences. Upper-state parameters for all four vibrations are determined, and a few local perturbations are noted.
