High power /C-13//O-16/2 laser with three-mirror cavity
Abstract
A tunable, high output power (C-13)(O-16)2 laser is presented which has an internal mirror before the grating. The internal mirror reduces the total optical loss by decreasing the optical flux impinging on the grating which is a high-loss optical element. Such arrangement provides an output power over 25 W in a single line for a 100 cm long sealed-off discharge tube. The method can be applied to other laser systems containing high-loss optical components.
