Dynamical behaviour of gaseous halo in a disk galaxy.
Abstract
The dynamical and thermal behavior of a gaseous halo in a disk galaxy is studied by means of a time dependent, two-dimensional hydrodynamical code, assuming that the gas in the halo of a disk galaxy is supplied from the disk as a hot gas. The observability of various types of gaseous halos is clarified, and the roles of gaseous halos in the evolution of galaxies is discussed.
