Calculation of the dispersal of a layer of granular material by a supersonic gas jet
Abstract
The dispersal of a layer of granular material and the flow of the resulting dust-laden stream are calculated on the basis of equations of motion of a two-phase medium. The granular-material layer model assumed here allows describing the dispersal without determining stresses in the layer being broken up. Examples of calculations illustrating the layer breakup pattern are presented.
