Planarer Gegentaktmischer auf Al2O3-Substrat für den 20-GHz-Bereich
Abstract
A planar mixer circuit is described that occupies a small substrate area by the use of a high-permittivity substrate and suitable combinations of planar waveguides and special transitions to the external waveguides. A circuit with commercial GaAs beam-lead diodes has an average conversion loss of 5.5 dB in the image matched mode over the 18-21 GHz range. Criteria for the image recovery circuit are obtained, and parasitic effects associated with the nonideal properties of the Schottky diodes are considered.
