A study of the characteristics of combustion-product gasdynamic lasers with unstable cavities
Abstract
The energy characteristics of combustion-product gasdynamic lasers with unstable telescopic cavities are analyzed numerically. It is shown that cavities with low magnification coefficients should be used when efficiency and power are of the prime concern, while large magnification coefficients are essential if high directivity is required. Possible techniques for controlling the parameters of telescopic-cavity gasdynamic lasers are discussed.
