Synthesis of horn antennas with reactive loads
Abstract
The paper considers field synthesis in the aperture of an E-plane sectoral and conical corrugated horn as well as the field synthesis of an H-plane horn with loaded passive dipoles in the aperture. The proposed synthesis method, based on electrodynamic models, makes it possible to compute the parameters of reactive loads from a prescribed field in the horn aperture. The method can be used for the computer-assisted design of various types of horn antennas.
