Equivalent-time signal acquisition and processing
Abstract
Equivalent-time signal acquisition in the presence of stationary additive noise is considered and contrasted with 'real-time' transient recording. It is shown how the substantial noise decorrelation encountered with equivalent-time methods can markedly influence the form of an optimum post-processor and the signal/noise ratio attainable.
