Efficient three-wavelength-output SAW multistrip beam compressor for convolver applications
Abstract
The problem of obtaining very narrow surface acoustic wave beams from multistrip compressors is investigated experimentally. A modified geometry is described which allows an extension of previous design methods to narrower output beam compressors, such as required in the direct feeding of a 3-wavelength-wide acoustic waveguide in a monolithic convolver.
