Rate of change of signal attenuation from Sirio at 11.6 GHz
Abstract
Propagation data at 11.6 GHz for a 32 deg slant radio link collected through satellite Sirio are processed to obtain statistics of the rate of change of rain-induced attenuation. A new method for identifying the rate is discussed. The results show that the rates are log-normally distributed, and that the higher the attenuation the higher the rates.
