Self-regulating transfer modes of liquid helium to the rotor of a superconducting generator
Abstract
For superconducting ac generators the transfer of two-phase helium from a reservoir at atmospheric pressure to a rotating helium pool, boiling at reduced pressure, is investigated. Four different concepts which operate without active control elements are discussed. Diagrams to be used for the design of such systems are given.
