Possibilities of phase correction on the small reflector in a two-reflector antenna
Abstract
The effect of redistribution of energy in a two-reflector system on the directive gain and noise temperature of the antenna is analyzed. Phase errors are compensated for by flexures of the basic (large) reflector, through automatic correction of the shape of the auxiliary (small) reflector. The calculations determine the maximum permissible deformations of the reflectors possible with given impairments of the antenna characteristics.
