A new principle for laser tuning - Tuning by self-injection
Abstract
An efficient method is proposed for laser tuning which is based on self-injection. The method makes it possible to reduce to a minimum the effect of tuning element on the laser output power and achieve a tuning efficiency approaching unity. Thus, laser outputs of high power and narrow bandwidths can be obtained by a single laser oscillator. Experimental results are presented.
