Numerical estimation of SPS microwave impact on ionospheric environment
Abstract
A possible interaction with the ionosphere of an intense microwave which will be used in energy transmission from Solar Power Satellite (SPS) to the earth, is numerically studied. Microwave heating of the ionosphere and nonlinear excitation of electron plasma waves and ion acoustic waves are numerically studied for a model ionosphere.
