Heat transfer in and hydrodynamics of electrohydrodynamic heat pipes
Abstract
The results of tests on heat pipes employing an auxiliary electric field are presented. Problems of vaporization and condensation heat transfer with dispersion in the electric field are considered and pertinent working equations are obtained. The heat transfer and hydrodynamics were investigated experimentally in electrohydrodynamic heat pipes with axial electrodes, and it was found that the electric field allows active control of heat and mass transfer in evaporating or condensing heat exchangers.
