Performance evaluation for a class of asymetrically ablated duroid radomes
Abstract
An extensive test program was conducted to study transmission properties of ablative duroid radomes. Tests produced profiles of attenuation, depolarization and beam deflection over the active part of the radome over a frequency range from 15 GHz to 20 GHz. On a particular specimen those parameters were measured for the individual fiberglass and duroid components of the radome, for the assembled unit and subsequently for two levels of asymmetrical ablation. The results will be supported by measuring procedures and test setups.
