Transient responses of thickness-mode piezoelectric transducers used as ultrasonic emitters into solids
Abstract
For thickness-mode transducers emitting into solids, an experimental setup is used to measure their plane-wave transient responses and the experimental results are found to agree with theoretical. Results differ from those in the often discussed case of liquid loading.
