A survey of numerical solution techniques for complex flows
Abstract
The problems of numerical fluid dynamics are discussed. The techniques which were available for the solution of these problems are developed. The modifications necessary for complex turbulent flow problems are discussed and include linearization and iteration. Implicit finite difference formulation using tri-diagonal or block tri-diagonal solvers, are found to present advantages over other techniques.
