Solvability in the whole of the Cauchy problem for systems of equations describing the flow of a two-phase mixture
Abstract
The paper examines the partial differential equations that describe the unsteady one-dimensional flow of a mixture of a viscous barotropic gas with incompressible particles. The analysis is based on Kraiko's (1972) model of the mechanics of multiphase media. The solvability in the whole of the Cauchy problem for the equations is examined
