Equation error identification applied to hydraulic systems
Abstract
A method for obtaining the parameters of a hydraulic system is presented. The method employs a digital implementation of an equation error identification algorithm with least squares k-spline derivative generation. As a demonstration, the technique was applied to an open circuit hydrostatic transmission. In this application, the identification of the significant dynamic characteristics was accomplished with a test of short duration which utilized an easily generated test input and required only the measurement of the load pressure.
