Measurement of radiation intensity and total radiation by means of an Si solar cell, with allowance for the temperature effect
Abstract
A simple mobile solarimeter unit for the acquisition of location-specific solar data is presented; the detector used is a single-crystal Si solar cell. The temperature-dependent intrinsic conduction effect is electronically compensated by operational amplifiers and a thermoelement. The analog signal obtained after temperature compensation is processed digitally; this digital value is used both for the direct indication of the radiation intensity and for the integrated indication.
