TDRSS ground station software/ADPE
Abstract
The ground station of the Tracking and Data Relay Satellite System simultaneously performs all the modulation/demodulation functions for as many as 19 data channels to, and 32 from, user spacecraft in the K and S bands. The TDRSS is transparent to the data, passing synchronized bit streams directly to and from NASA, and the data channels exist on up to four communications satellites, carried on six single-access and three multiple-access space antennas. Individual services using a single TDRS may be maintained for up to 24 hours, and three TDRS will allow a user satellite to be serviced continuously.
