Design formulas for a class of double-terminated optimal filters
Abstract
Design equations are presented for a class of optimal filters which are RC ladder networks with double and equal terminations. The resulting network has the maximum gain constant and the minimum product of capacity and resistance. The proposed formulas make it possible to avoid the process of formulating impedance or admittance function and expanding a continued fraction, required with the current synthesis procedures.
