MOS-LSI analog/digital techniques for linear prediction
Abstract
Two techniques for integrating linear predictive adaptive filters in MOS-LSI technology are described: the adaptive lattice filter technique and adaptive autocorrelation analysis. A careful tradeoff was made between analog and digital implementations so that integrated versions in MOS-LSI will require the least possible silicon area and power while retaining adequate performance. Discrete prototypes have been built and have demonstrated adequate performance for speech processing applications.
