Evaluations of the performance of a defruiter for an SSR monopulse system
Abstract
An analytical model for evaluating the performance under different environmental conditions of the defruiting section of an SSR monopulse receiver is discussed. Suitable statistical models are used for the correlation tests regarding SSR replies received by the same aircraft during the dwell time. Consideration is given to the dwell time processor and its performance, taking into account the reply association and reply updating functions as well as the target report. Numerical results are reported which relate to the evaluation of the target declaration probability for different values of the fruit rate and of the parameters characterizing the defruiter operation.
