Assessment of federal telecommunications systems for spectrum supportability
Abstract
The process of communications-electronics systems certification by the National Telecommunication and Information Administration required for the assignment of frequency spectrum to systems in Federal Government use is reviewed. The following details of the system assessment are examined: consideration of data adequacy, frequency allocations, radiation hazards, coordination, wartime considerations, and electromagnetic compatibility of a new system with the existing environment.
