A computer program for analysis and prediction of conducted EMI
Abstract
The paper describes a computer program for the propagation analysis of conducted electromagnetic interference in circuit, equipment, or system interconnections. By the analytic investigation of several coupling modes, the program makes it possible to determine the predominant coupling path and, hence, to develop the best hardware correction. Three interfering modes are taken into account: the common impedance or common circuit coupling, the common ground coupling due to voltage gradients in the ground, and the crosstalk between near cables (capacitative and/or inductive component). A high level data input language facilitates the handling of the large amount of data necessary for good predictions.
