A numerical analysis of the spectrum of the out-of-band radiation of a pulsed magnetron was performed on the basis of pulse shape and the dependence of frequency on magnetron current (the pulling figure curve). The calculated results are compared with data obtained with a spectrum analyzer, and it is found that up-to-date measurement methods and equipment make it possible to obtain initial data for spectrum calculation with an error of + or - 6 dB (at levels of minus 20-60 dB). Certain features which should be taken into account when optimizing the behavior of a magnetron are discussed.
