Iterative spectral factorization algorithms for digital filters
Abstract
Numerical methods for the spectral factorization of discrete-time squared-magnitude functions are discussed. Bauer's (1955) direct iterative method is compared with an algorithm based on least-error energy deconvolution. Computational savings can be expected when the latter algorithm is used for high-order squared-magnitude functions.
