Flow measurements in low-pressure steam turbines with continuously aerated probes
Abstract
Flow measurement with pneumatic probes in vaporous media is discussed. Continuous aeration of the measurement ducts with non-condensing outside air is shown to prevent the vapor from entering the probe mouth. It is important in this process to recognize the falsifying effects of continuous aeration on the measurements, in order to be able to correct from them. The usefulness of the measurement is shown by means of flow measurements behind the output stage of a condensation turbine.
