Geometric modelling in production
Abstract
It is shown that manufacturing processes require mass storage of many components and of their relationships when using geometric modeling for the representation of shape and assemblies of various parts. The achievement of generality through a single model format is not practical, but the use of several representations unified by standard communications should produce better results.
