Laser interferometer with wavefront-reversal mirrors
Abstract
Theoretical and experimental studies are presented on a Michelson laser interferometer with wavefront reversal performed by stimulated Brillouin scattering mirrors. It is shown that in the case of variation of one of the arms of the interferometer, the period of the interference pattern corresponds to the frequency shift for stimulated scattering. The luminosity curve tends to the limit of 0.25 and consists of a combination of correlation functions for radiation with a path difference corresponding to a single or double traversal of the arm difference.
