Finite elements in fluid dynamics
Abstract
The finite element method and its applications to fluid dynamics are explained. The variational and the weighted residuals approaches to transforming the differential equations problem in an algebraic problem are described. Particular cases are studied, including the blade to blade flow, trough-flow calculations in turbomachinery and lubrication by high viscosity fluids.
