Feasibility study of a Spacelab subsatellite
Abstract
The feasibility of constructing a small inexpensive subsatellite for use in connection with the space shuttle program is discussed. The satellite is designed to carry out various scientific experiments in orbits that are independent of the main space laboratory. A modular concept characterizes the design. Special emphasis was placed on the investigation of orbital mechanics.
