The polarizabilities of apertures of arbitrary shape
Abstract
The integral equations for the electric and magnetic polarizabilities of small apertures of arbitrary shape in a conducting screen are solved by the method of moments. Solutions are obtained by a subdomain method using the Gordon-Hall and Zienkiewicz-Phillips subdivision techniques. The method is illustrated by application to apertures of many shapes, such as circles, squares, semicircles, triangles, annular sectors, circle with tangents, hexagons, and ellipses.
