Mechanisms of radiation effects in electronic materials. Volume 1
Abstract
Those effects of nuclear radiation that are applicable to the materials used in electronic devices and circuits are described. The significant effects are discussed, particularly those which lead to ionization and atomic displacements. Consideration is then given to the manifestations of these effects in semiconductors (silicon and nonsilicon), gases, and insulators.
