The conference focused on the techniques of failure analysis, risk and failure analysis for design against fracture and fatigue, elevated temperature and environmental effects, systems approach to production reliability integration, and new techniques. Papers are presented on X-ray diffraction techniques in analysis and prediction of failure, environmentally assisted fracturing under sustained loading, fracture mechanics applications for short fatigue tests, and reliability assurance of aircraft structures.
