Combined natural- and forced-convection between parallel vertical walls
Abstract
Regular perturbation techniques are employed to further investigate the nature of the known equations governing fully developed forced and free convective flow between heated parallel walls. Particular attention is given to the solutions near the critical Rayleigh numbers, at which infinite flow rates are predicted by linear theory, and some tentative suggestions are presented on the transitional mechanism between the various flow regimes.
