Synthesis of a reflector, equivalent to a statistically-uneven surface
Abstract
The present analysis deals with the problem of scattering by a combinational surface composed of a surface with small roughnesses superposed on a surface with large roughnesses. It is shown that there exists a dimension of a crimped reflector along the x axis, above which the effective scattering cross section of the reflector does not increase. This makes it possible to design very large reflectors for small effective scattering cross sections.
