The effect of diurnal variations of the parameters of the medium on the statistics of refraction angles
Abstract
The time-averaged solution of the Einstein-Fokker equation is investigated for a stochastically inhomogeneous medium under the assumption of sinusoidal diurnal variations of the parameters of the medium. It is shown that in this case the distribution of stochastic-refraction angles is bimodal and asymmetric. The parameters which determine the form of the distribution are calculated.
