Diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave by a perfectly conducting spheroid
Abstract
A novel method is presented for treating the diffraction of an arbitrarily incident plane electromagnetic wave by a perfectly conducting spheroid. The incident and scattered fields are divided into two parts: a part independent of the rotation angle and a part the averaging of which with respect to the rotation angle yields zero. The parts of the problem are solved separately.
