Investigation of the effect of space charge forces on electron bunching in a gyroklystron drift tube
Abstract
The paper presents a theoretical analysis of the effects of quasi-static and dynamic space-charge effects on electron bunching in gyroklystrons. Attention is given to uniform and nonuniform magnetostatic fields for different combinations of the geometrical parameters of the beam and tube. The basic effects associated with transverse and longitudinal space-charge forces are considered.
