Generalization of experimental turbulent heat-transfer data on the basis of two-parameter turbulence models
Abstract
A method is proposed for generalizing data on heat transfer in turbulent flows on the basis of the turbulent viscosity of the external flow, calculated from two-parameter turbulence models. The application of the Kolmogorov-Prandtl model and a model, in which both the kinetic energy of turbulence and its dissipation are used to calculate the turbulent viscosity, to the generalization of heat transfer data is demonstrated.
