Calculation of vertically issuing two-dimensional buoyant turbulent jets
Abstract
In the present paper, a two-dimensional vertical buoyant turbulent incompressible jet, issuing from a two-dimensional nozzle, is analyzed under the assumption that the jet possesses a certain initial temperature and that the uniform ambient medium possesses a constant temperature and is at rest. An integral method is proposed for calculating the initial and fully developed portions of the jet.
