Weighted determination of particles in a disturbed flow - Study on a test bench
Abstract
In a still air atmosphere, the influence of several parameters on the shape of particle concentration forms has been studied. Concentration forms are found to be largely independent of the concentration level and speed, but granulometric variations lead to deformation of the forms. In addition, the influence of an upstream obstacle (damper at 45 deg) is examined, and the preciseness of the weighted determination is found to be very slightly effected, even when the obstacle is very close (1 D) and the speed vectors are at an angle to the flow axis.
