Properties of electric fields in inhomogeneous conducting media located in a strong external magnetic field
Abstract
In the present paper, the theory of random functions and the theory of boundary-value problems are used in combination to study the electric fields and their statistical moments in a two-dimensional inhomogeneous medium with Hall effect. Models of a randomly inhomogeneous medium and a medium of doubly periodic structure are constructed and analyzed. It is concluded that in a strong magnetic field, the effect of field displacement from the lowest-concentration phase occurs regardless of the degree of its conductivity. It is shown that the rms fluctuations of the electric field increase spontaneously at the current passage threshold.
