Supersonic two-phase flows under the conditions of particle velocity nonequilibrium
Abstract
The work is concerned with the basic principles of the mathematical description of multiphase flows of the type gas-solid particles and state-of-the-art laser diagnostic techniques for high-velocity two-phase flows. Experimental data on the effect of velocity nonequilibrium of solid particles and gas are examined including the case when the flow parameters are determined to a large degree by the disperse phase concentration. Several mathematical models are analyzed in the light of experimental data, and their applicability limits are defined.
