Improvements in the performance characteristics of 6 GHz earth-station klystrons
Abstract
Design considerations for 6-GHz earth-station klystrons are discussed, including channel tuning, obtaining high tuning reliability, amplitude and phase responses, band transmission, AM/PM conversion, and harmonics and noise. The magnetic field pattern of the klystrons has been modified and a cavity damping adjustment improved.
