The effect of homogeneous chemical reaction on the concentration distribution in the diffusion wake of a drop
Abstract
The steady distribution of the concentration of species diffusing from a droplet in a viscous fluid is investigated with allowance for the influence of a first-order chemical reaction. The matched asymptotic expansion method is used to obtain the solution for large Peclet and low Reynolds numbers.
